POLICE are appealing for the public’s help in tracing a missing pensioner from Willaston.

David Hannam, 81, of Neston Road, was reported missing by his family yesterday (Sunday November 25) and has not been seen since Thursday.

His behaviour is out of character and police are becoming increasingly concerned for his safety.

David is described as 5' 10" tall, with thin balding grey hair, bushy grey eyebrows and of a stocky well built build.

He wears spectacles, is possibly wearing a blue cardigan with leather buttons and it is believed that he is on foot.

Inspector Alan Fairclough from Cheshire police said: “Extensive enquiries are currently being carried out to trace David.

“This behaviour is out of character and we are concerned for his welfare.

“We are appealing to anyone who may have seen David or someone matching his description to come forward.

“We are also appealing for David himself to make contact with us and let us know he is ok,” he added.

Anyone with any information is urged to call Cheshire Police on 101 quoting incident number 414 of November 25.
