COMBAT Stress Cheshire is appealing to the business community and to the residents of Mid Cheshire to support the charity in the run up to its official launch and in the months that follow.

Combat Stress is the only UK charity dedicated solely to helping ex-servicemen and women to overcome the horrific mental issues caused by active duty while serving their country.

Since its establishment in 1919, Combat Stress has assisted more than 100,000 veterans to overcome horrific memories, night-terrors and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)

Now as the Charity celebrates its 90th anniversary, a host of regional ambassadors have been appointed - including one for Cheshire.

On Sunday, July 26, at 2pm Combat Stress Cheshire will officially launch with a fun day being held at the Brighton Belle, on Middlewich in Winsford.

And the organisation is appealing for the help of local businesses willing to donate prizes for the tombola, raffle and charity auction, or who are willing to sponsor one of the events.

Members of the general public who can help in any way are also asked to come forward.

Anyone who can help can call 01606 591016 or 07902778530, or write to: Combat Stress Cheshire, 302 Station Road, Winsford, CW7 3DG. Alternatively you can email cs_cheshire@btinternet.com.
