A SCHOOL choir have had their Dream Come True after being chosen to provide backing vocals for S Club 7's new single for Children in Need.

The 25-strong group, all Year 5 and 6 pupils at The Firs School in Chester, had recorded their vocals in October and sent them to the BBC.

They were finally told on Wednesday they would be one of only a handful of schools to be included on the track.

Margaret Denton, headteacher of the Newton Lane school, said the choir will be heard in the background of the single Have You Ever, which S Club 7 will be releasing to raise funds for Children in Need, which is broadcast on BBC1 tonight.

'The children are absolutely thrilled. It really is a Dream Come True for us all,' she said.

'We have two choirs, one for Year 3 and 4 pupils, and one for Years 5 and 6, who are all aged between nine and 11.

'They sent off their recording back in October, along with schools from around Britain.'

The children will all be individually credited on the Children in Need website, at www.bbc.co.uk/cin.
