PLANS were agreed for alterations at a primary school.

The application was put forward at Woodfall County Primary School on Woodfall Lane, Little Neston, by Tina Phillips.

Mrs Phillips told planning officers at Cheshire West and Chester Council she was seeking approval to install entrance gates, widen a pathway and erect two canopies at the school on the outskirts of Neston.

Mrs Phillips pointed out that since the development of a pre-school at the site, the entrance for pupils was too narrow and caused a bottleneck at the beginning and end of the school day.

The widened pedestrian gate and footpath would enable easier pram and wheelchair access to the school and would free up the public footpath.
