Champ Kerron signs for Hunter

WINSFORD-BASED professional boxing manager Geoff Hunter has signed BBF British welterweight champion Kerron Cumberbatch.

WINSFORD-BASED professional boxing manager Geoff Hunter has signed BBF British welterweight champion Kerron Cumberbatch.

The Hunter Boxing fight stable already manages the former British unlicensed champ’s brother Duane, himself an ex-British and European featherweight number one.

Kerron fights in the same weight division as stablemate Damien Jeffries, and both train together at Salford’s Armstrong Gym under Mike Armstrong, the former national featherweight champion.

Geoff Hunter is a former nurse who had a brief heavyweight career.
