A BID by Cefn Wide Tenants and Residents Association in Cefn Mawr, Wrexham, to improve the local environment has been given a boost thanks to a £500 grant from environmental organisation Keep Wales Tidy.

Chairwoman Anna Jones said: “The grant has enabled us to buy equipment to help keep the area tidy.

“Local children especially are very keen to help with our litter collections.

“We also plan to plant some bulbs in the community. ”

Keep Wales Tidy is a scheme funded by the National Assembly for Wales which offers financial assistance to groups committed to restoring their communities.
