A YOUNG scientist from Ellesmere Port and her classmates made a special journey of discovery.

The Catalyst Science Discovery Centre in Widnes welcomed Year 2 pupil Jessica Quinn and fellow pupils of Brookside Primary School.

The trip was arranged after Jessica was crowned ‘brightest scientist’ during the school’s science week.

During the visit they took part in a ‘recycle fun’ workshop and watched a film in an interactive theatre.

Meryl Jameson, marketing officer at Catalyst, said: “Catalyst was thrilled to welcome Jessica and her class, they had a great time learning about recycling.

“This has been a great opportunity for us to join with e.on to support the continued promotion of science to young people.”
