CAN your green fingers help Grove Park Theatre?
The group urgently needs to get hold of an apple tree and a rhododendron bush to use on the set of its next production.
The play is Humble Boy by Charlotte Jones and the action takes place in a country garden decked out with beehive, patio and rustic bench. All that is needed to complete the design is the greenery, which the amateur drama group hopes can be real.
Director David Underwood said: 'As it is the end of the summer, we are hoping that people will be pruning and clearing out their garden for the winter.
'Even an overhanging branch from an apple tree could be put to good use and, as for the rhododendron bush, the bigger the better.'
Unfortunately the theatre will not be able to return the plants but if anyone is looking to dispose of cuttings, David would be very happy to hear from you.
The plants need to be in place by Sunday, October 23. If you can help out, call David on 01978 262569.
Humble Boy can be seen at Grove Park Theatre from Thursday, October 27, to Saturday, November 5. Tickets for this play and the rest of the season are available from the box office on 01978 351091.
