A TEENAGE pupil of Hebden Green School in Winsford suffering from cystic fibrosis has come up with a sizzling suggestion for a sausage recipe which will land a big gift for charity.

Casey Blunstone, who turned 13 this month, was asked by Willaston’s Cheerbrook Farm Shop to come up with an idea for a sausage to be sold in aid of the Cystic Fibrosis Trust.

And she decided on ‘Casey’s Peachy Pork’ of which 50% of all sales will go to the trust.

Her mum Gaynor said: “Pork and peach is an interesting combination, something a bit different. I think Casey just wanted to match up the Ps and came up with that!”

Casey was diagnosed with the condition on Christmas Eve in 1995, just six weeks after she was born. She also suffers with epilepsy and is fed by tubes.

She has had to undergo numerous operations but has still tried to live her life to the full.
