AN ALTERNATIVE lifestyle carnival is coming to Wrexham this summer and needs help.
Organised by Gay Jacobsen, the event is to encourage and promote healthy living, holistic therapy and relaxation.
As well as demonstrations of treatments by Gay and her Rainbow Therapies team, there will be a chess tent, stalls selling organic produce and Eastern European food, and live entertainment.
But the carnival needs someone to donate a marquee.
It will house the Rainbow Therapy demonstrations. Gay has already looked into hiring one but has found the cost too much.
'We really need someone who may have a marquee going spare to help us out,' said Gay. 'Anyone who can donate one to us for the carnival can call me on 01978 263204.'
Some local bands will be playing and there will be lifelong education information available thanks to Llysfasi College.
'It is going to be a big event,' said Gay. 'We hope to hold it on July 8 and 9.
'Organic Fayre in Chester has agreed to take part and we are hoping to use this event to open people's eyes to what is out there.
'We want to show people not only the holistic therapies and such but to show them what they have always known but never acknowledged, that there is more to life than work and TV.
'We want to just show people that they can do different things with their time, they can find new ways to relax.
'They may try something at the carnival that they want to take up as a hobby. They may try some organic food and decide that is the stuff for them.
'Alternatively, they may just have a nice day out. Whatever they take from the carnival, as long as they gain something, it will be a success.'
There are pitches available to local businesses or people linked with alternative lifestyle.
'Anyone can have a pitch,' said Gay. 'Obviously it would be nice for them to fit in with the spirit of the carnival but there are pitches available.'
To book a spot call Gay on 01978 263204.
