POLICE in Northwich have issued a warning to car owners following a night of criminal activity at Kingsmead.

On the night of Monday, July 14, five cars were targeted on the estate. The culprits escaped with two laptop computers, two iPods, a briefcase, a Sat Nav system, CDs and a pair of sunglasses.

Now officers are looking for residents to be vigilant and to take greater care over what they leave in the vehicles.

Sgt Tony Jones, of Northwich Neighbour- hood Policing Unit, said: “People should be able to leave whatever they like in their cars and expect it to be safe.

“Sadly this isn’t the case. I would also like people to be aware that there are thieves operating in the area and to be on the lookout for anyone acting suspiciously.”
