Pupiils from Years 1 and 2 at Capenhurst CE Primary School enjoyed an overnight residential to Beeston Outdoor Centre.

Four members of staff, including their class teachers, accompanied class on their visit.

The children thoroughly enjoyed playing and having fun in the wonderful grounds at Beeston and embarked on a walk to the surrounding woodland where they carried out den building activities, looking at the best ways to build a secure shelter.

During the evening, following a lovely meal provided by the centre, the children had a campfire and enjoyed toasting marshmallows.

The following day the children headed for Bickley Hall Farm where they were involved in workshops with pond dipping and searching for mini beasts in the meadows.

Luckily the weather was kind to us and the children thoroughly enjoyed exploring the outdoors.

The school would like to thank both Beeston Outdoor Centre and Bickley Hall Farm for their hospitality.
