A KENNELS wants to find a happy home for a dog found on the loose in a supermarket car park.

The collie-cross, aged about six, was spotted by a shopper a month ago and taken to Five Oaks kennels in Capenhurst.

Named ‘Hope’ by her temporary keepers, the dog was thin when found but has started to put weight on in the care of staff at the kennels.

Alison Stuart, at Five Oaks, said: “She was running round the car park in a panic. She was tearing round and didn’t know what to do.

Alison said: “She’s smashing. She’s a very friendly, playful dog and seems to get on with everything and everyone.

“You can’t see why somebody would want to get rid of her. She’s such a nice dog we thought somebody would be distraught looking for her.”

Alison warned that without seeing her with young children, she may not be suitable for a family despite appearing to have a calm temperament.
