Pilkington 3 Barnton 2

DESPITE a narrow defeat to Pilkington, Barnton boss Mark Came insisted it was his team’s best performance of the season.

The visitors let a two goal lead slip from their grasp but still dominated much of this encounter. Chris Bailey and Matty Davis put the rampant Barnton in control but high balls into their box were causing problems and it was 2-2 by half time.

Pilkington sealed the win a minute after half time via a goalmouth scramble. Manager Mark Came said:

‘We had to reshuffle a lot because four or five of our team were suspended but we’ve gone there and put in our best performance of the season. After that I don’t think we should fear anyone.’
