INTERNATIONAL call ups are yet again playing their part in Wrexham’s bid to bounce back into the Football League – and the season is still to get underway.
With four players being selected for international duty next month, with Trinidad and Tobago (Silvio Spann) and Wales under-21s (Marc Williams, Chris Maxwell and Neil Taylor), the Dragons first away game of the campaign has been moved back.
Wrexham’s trip to Tamworth, which was scheduled for Tuesday, August 11, will now take place on Tuesday, August 25 (7.45pm kick off).
Tamworth have also instructed Wrexham that with the number of fans that are likely to make the journey the match will have to be ticketed.
Meanwhile, due to popular demand Wrexham’s home kit will now be available tomorrow at the club shop ahead of the pre-season friendly with Huddersfield Town at the Racecourse.
Boss Dean Saunders said: “Wrexham supporters prove time after time how great they are at supporting their team. The demand has been so great that we have agreed to release the kit a day early.”
