WITH the credit crunch set to hamper high-street spending, local bus company, Arriva wants to know what’s really going on in the region.

November saw the launch of the all new Eagles Meadow Shopping and Leisure Destination in Wrexham, with Arriva revising its 7 and 8 service from Wrexham Bus Station to the shopping complex to meet consumer demand.

Arriva is appealing for local people to take part in a survey to explore issues such as time spent on the bus, purpose of bus journey and shopping habits.

Nick Gordon, marketing manager for Arriva, said: “We’re appealing for people to take part in our shopping and lifestyle survey and are offering one lucky person £100 in shopping vouchers and 10 lots of Arriva day tickets as an incentive. We’re hoping that the survey will uncover some interesting statistics and help us gain a real insight into the habits of Wrexham bus users.

“We recently revised two of our services to Eagles Meadow and want to find out exactly what our passengers think about shopping in the region and what they get up to on the bus.”

In the run up to Christmas, Arriva is offering a low fare of 80p for passengers travelling on the 7 and 8 service to Eagles Meadow between November 2 and December 31.

To take part in the survey e-mail survey@arriva.co.uk and the forms will be sent to you.
