PERFORMANCE cars are being targeted by burglars in Winsford, police fear.
Three times in the last week houses have been broken into and thieves have driven off in cars parked outside after stealing the keys.
The latest incident happened on Friday night when intruders broke into a house at Moss Bank and drove off in a Subaru Impreza parked on the drive.
The car, FJ55 KYB, is still missing.
“There have been a number of similar incidents over the course of the week,” said Det Sgt Paul Mason, of Winsford Neighbourhood Policing Unit.
“We would urge all residents to keep things like car keys well hidden. If they are kept on display near doors and windows it’s an invitation to burglars.”
