TWO events for women with breast cancer are taking place in Wrexham.
Breast Cancer Care Cymru, a support charity for people with breast cancer, is hosting two free information sessions on Wednesday, June 10, at Nightingale House Hospice, Chester Road.
The first session, from 10am-noon, will focus on lymphoedema, a distressing side-effect which may develop after treatment for breast cancer.
The interactive discussion will explore signs and symptoms of lymphoedema and give practical advice on how to manage the condition or minimise the risk of developing it. Participants will also be given the chance to have their questions answered by a lymphoedema specialist.
The second session, from 1-3pm, is a guide to cancer drugs.
This informal session, led by an expert oncologist, will examine the five most common drugs used in the treatment of primary breast cancer. Participants will also have the chance to have their questions answered.
