‘BOY RACERS’ in Neston are becoming a major cause for concern for residents.

During the past few months police have received an increasing amount of complaints of anti-social behaviour in the area, in particular the regular congregating of cars, many with loud exhausts, on an almost nightly basis around the Clayhill Industrial Estate.

The drivers of the vehicles then proceed to ‘wheel spin’ and race each another around the village.

It has led to feelings of unease by those in the area, as well as fears of potential accidents.

PC Mike Lockett of Neston Police said a crackdown on the anti-social behaviour has been launched, paying ongoing attention to the Clayhill estate.

He said: “Any offences which are identified will be dealt with robustly and powers of vehicle seizure will be used where and when applicable.”

To report anti-social behaviour involving vehicles, call Cheshire police on 101.
