WREXHAM aim to be party poopers on Saturday as they travel down to Dorset intending to upset the opening of Bournemouth's revamped Dean Court.

With the pitch moved 90 degrees and three new stands built, Bournemouth are hoping for a sell-out crowd for the match (kick-off 3pm).

They've been playing at Dorset's Avenue Stadium this season and have done well, winning five, drawing two and only losing one of their eight games, which led manager Shaun O' Driscoll to quip:

"We've obviously got the best away form in the league."

But back at Dean Court they will be desperate to make a good start and raise the money for the fourth side of the ground, which they currently cannot afford.

However they may choose to sell one of their marketable assets with midfielder Wade Elliott, scorer of six goals this season, attracting interest from Ipswich Town. Club captain Eddie Howe is also much sought-after and earlier this season Wigan s double bid for both him and influential midfielder Richard Hughes was accepted by the club but rejected by the players.

After seeing-off Colchester 2-1 away last season, the Cherries should keep the same team and that will see keeper Gareth Stewart in goal.

He should marshal a back three with the highly-rated Howe occupying the centre position. He should be flanked by youth product Karl Broadhurst and Jason Tindall, a defender signed from Charlton Athletic.

With five across the midfield James Hayter should occupy the right-sided role. In the centre should be Brian Stock, another ex-YTS player who has burst into the first team this season after an injury to Richard Hughes, and Stephen Purches who was a free transfer signing from West Ham.

Carl Fletcher will complete the midfield trio, another exyouth player who is also highly rated at the club.

Elliott should patrol the left side he signed from nonleague Bashley Town four years ago.

Up front is striker Warren Feeney, another free transfer, this time from Leeds United. Feeney is also a Northern Ireland under-21 international but blotted his copybook last week after being sent off at Layer Road.
