A FORTRESS of fitness is being built at the University Church of England Academy.

Every Monday night, Paul Fortman is bringing his equipment-free fitness class to the former Stanney High School on Stanney Lane.

Paul spent four years plying his trade at the EPIC leisure centre but is now branching out and hoping to expand his classes.

Paul, a level 3 qualified personal trainer, has been running his new boot camp for three weeks and has a good turnout.

“I just did a circuit class at the EPIC but I’ve developed it from the idea I created there.”

The class meets from 8-8.45pm every Monday evening. At £4 per session, Paul says people will learn new skills that will help them maintain a healthy body every week.

“It’s a very unorthodox style of circuit training. It’s all own body stuff.

“I’ve been in the industry for years. I’ve been training since I was 13 and I’ve been in the fitness industry since I was 18.

“I’m putting two classes on in Ellesmere Port then I’m going to expand it to Chester and Manchester.”
