NORTHWICH and District Heritage Society pushes the boat out for its next talk at Mid-Cheshire College on Friday.

The talk is being given by Geoff Taylor and is about the Taylor family whose boatbuilding business goes back to 1795. As well as the varied history of boatbuilding and facts about the River Dee and its links with the canal, Geoff also reveals some deep, dark family secrets!

Non-members are welcome on payment of £1.50 admission fee at the door. The talk at the college on Chester Road, Hartford, starts at 8pm.
