TOP tourist attractions have been shortlisted for an award.
The Blue Planet Aquarium and Ness Gardens are in the running for the Visit Chester and Cheshire Annual Awards.
The Blue Planet Aquarium has been nominated for three awards – large visitor attraction of the year, best tourism experience and best tourism website.
Ness Gardens has been nominated in the sustainable tourism award category.
Emma Bellis, of award organiser Visit Chester and Cheshire, said: “We have received a record number of nominations this year which demonstrates that many businesses and organisations see striving for success and excellence in their field as an important part in helping them to stand out from the competition.
“With so many fantastic entries to choose from, the judging panel have found it particularly difficult this year to shortlist the candidates.”
The shortlisted candidates are now being judged by a panel of industry experts.
The winners will be revealed at a ceremony at Chester Racecourse in June.
