Business-minded sixth formers from Bishop Heber High School in Malpas are hosting a California-themed fashion show for charity.

Over the past few months the business studies students have been busy planning the event as part of their A-level course and will showcase Tarporley lifestyle boutique Bottega’s Autumn/Winter range on Wednesday, October 9 at the store from 6.30–9pm.

The students are holding the event in aid of two selected charities - Alder Hey Children’s Hospital and the RSPCA.

They have secured sponsorship from Divine Property Services, Hair Off the Dog and Jeff’s Hair Lounge, which have all provided finance to meet start-up costs.

Tickets, which have been designed by the promotions team, are £15 to include canapes, the unique Golden State Cocktail and a grand raffle to be drawn on the night featuring some stunning prizes donated by businesses.

These include a £250 Bottega voucher, bed and breakfast for two at Low Wood Hall Hotel in the Lake District, an auction house voucher from Wingetts, afternoon tea for two at Dearnford Lake and many more. restaurant offers from Panama Hatty’s, Tarporley; The Bull, Shocklach and The Wheatsheaf Inn, Nomansheath; plus many more amazing prizes. Tickets are £1 and are available from students and in the library at Bishop Heber High School.

Sue Griffith from Bishop Heber High School said: “All of the students are putting huge efforts into planning the fashion show to ensure it is a success and guests have an enjoyable evening.

“They are also very keen to raise as much money as possible for Alder Hey Children’s Hospital and the RSPCA.”
