POLICE are offering motorcycle courses to try and cut biker deaths and injuries on the roads.
The training will be provided by police advanced motorcycle instructors, who are also registered with the Driving Standards Agency to provide post-test motorcycle training.
Courses will be designed to meet the needs of individual students, and will be based on ‘Motorcycle Roadcraft’ and the Highway Code.
Those who successfully complete the course will qualify for a possible discount of about 15-17% from insurance companies.
The course is available to those who have passed their test and wish to develop their riding skills further.
Three-day courses are being offered from August 18-22 and 26-29.
The course can be offered on a one-to- one basis with the instructor, or groups of up to three people can also take part.
