EVER thought about packing it all in and running away with the circus?

You could discover your dream this summer, and perform at Blackpool's famous Tower Circus.

Bosses at the family attraction have launched an appeal for talent from Wrexham, after receiving an unusually low response following a UK-wide campaign.

Blackpool Tower and Circus general manager Geoff Sage said: 'We have had a fantastic response to our talent search from certain pockets of the country, but we were surprised when the entries started coming in that the number of people from Wrexham were few and far between.'

So the spotlight for budding entertainers continues to sweep the area.

Geoff said: 'There must be hundreds of talented people in Wrexham. All we are asking for is a talent of any kind, that you consider to be entertaining, and a real enthusiasm for the circus - we'll provide the rest.

'It's a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to appear with some of the best circus acts in the world.'

The highly acclaimed attraction currently showcases acts that include spinning plates, break dancing acrobats and an aerial act followed by a spectacular water finalé.

Following the auditions one lucky group will win the chance to appear at a live circus performance in the summer to an audience of 1,400 people. To apply send in your details to Circus Talent, PO Box 7, Leyland, PR26 6WW, e-mail circus@mtjpr.co.uk or call 01772 421 442.

Closing date for the competition is Saturday, May 22.
