WREXHAM residents are being urged to protect their homes this winter.
The Twilight Burglary Campaign was launched by the Police and Community Forum, who want to combat the increase in burglaries that happen as nights get longer.
Every year as evenings draw in and clocks turn back, there is an increase in the number of early evening burglaries all over the country – and this national trend is mirrored in Wrexham.
Operation Twilight aims to encourage residents to keep their homes secure this winter and promotes the simple message ‘ny one at Home?
The Twilight Burglary campaign encourages the use of low energy light bulbs and timer switches to create the impression a property is occupied, therefore deterring burglars.
Bulbs and timer switches will be distributed by police to people deemed to be most vulnerable.
