Olympian Beth Tweddle and her Dancing on Ice partner Dan Whiston are urging people to  follow their lead by taking part  in an  adrenaline-fuelled challenge for  Claire House Children’s Hospice

The dancing pair, who won the  latest  series of the ITV show, took  part in the  ZipWire Challenge at  Zipworld in  Snowdonia, zooming  over a working  quarry for over a  mile, reaching  speeds of 100mph.

The  activity is part of Claire House’s   Adrenaline Autumn –  a series of  thrilling events including a 10,000ft  skydive  and an abseil in the Loggerheads  Country Park to raise  money for the  hospice.

Beth, who retired from professional   gymnastics last month, was inspired   to complete the challenge after visiting  Claire House this summer and  meeting several of the children and  young  people receiving care.

Beth said; “I loved every minute of  it!  It’s a brilliant challenge to do with  a  group of friends and it is also for a  fantastic charity.”

“I visited Claire House over the  summer and it was such an inspirational  place; I loved spending time  there.”

Clair Bedford, from Claire House   Children’s Hospice, said: “Adrenaline   Autumn has proved to be extremely   popular and we are delighted that  both  Beth and Dan could take part in  our  zipwire challenge and raise  awareness  for Claire House.

“ I even had a go at the zipwire  myself  and if I can do it, anyone can.  I loved  it!”

Claire House offers respite and care   to children and young people with   life-threatening and life-limiting conditions across Merseyside, Lancashire, Cheshire and North Wales.
