POLICE found 22 cannabis plants in a raid on a house in Ellesmere Port.

A call from a member of the public prompted police to search the Plus Dane housing association property on Kensington Road.

The early morning raid on Thursday, February 22, uncovered 22 plants ready for harvesting in a bedroom.

Police are now searching for the man who was believed to be living there.

Sgt Shaun Pyke, of Ellesmere Port Neighbourhood Policing Unit, said: “We got a call so we just got out there and acted on it.

“We would always encourage people that when you do ring us, it will be acted upon.”
