THE Nightingale House Summer Fair is just around the corner and the hospice is appealing for help to make their Teddy tombola a top earner.

The summer fair, which takes place at Bellevue Park on Saturday, is one of the biggest events on the Nightingale House calendar.

The hospice is looking for people to donate Teddies for the tombola and help them raise as much money as possible.

There will also be a chance to win an enormous Teddy at the fair, if you can guess its name.

Community fundraiser Margaret Hollings said: 'We want to raise as much money as possible for our local patients and their families in Wrexham.

'We want to make every stall as profitable as possible and are appealing to the public for their help.

'If you have any Teddy bears which you could donate to our appeal, or items for our other stalls such as craft items, toys, bric-abrac, nearly new, plants and other items, we would be extremely grateful for your support.'

This year's summer fair, which takes place from noon-3pm, will include a funfair, about 50 different stalls and games and a balloon race to be launched on the day.

Last year's winning balloon was picked up in Belgium.

There will be a prize for the winner and balloon entries can be obtained form the appeals office. For more information, contact 01978 314292.

The appeal's office can arrange for donated items to be collected, if necessary.
