BARCLAYS Bank showed it's not 'sheep as chips' when it made a charitable donation.
Staff and customers at the Llangollen branch raised £672 from a charity raffle that was donated to the Vivod Sheepdog Trials.
The amount was matched by Barclays Community Investment Programme to make £1,345 for the Llangollen event.
Barclays' agricultural manager for North Wales, Gavin Thomas, rounded up staff to support the event and customers queued for the chance to win a selection of prizes, including a custom-made shepherding crook.
The money was presented to Vivod Sheepdog Society for distribution to local charities Hope House, Cancer Research UK and the Multiple Sclerosis Trust.
'We are very committed to our local community and we are delighted to support both the Vivod Sheepdog Trials and Hope House,' said Gavin.
'This is a great example of staff working closely with the local community to achieve something which we hope will make a real and lasting difference.'
