A MONSTER time was had by all when pupils of Kingsmead Primary School were encouraged to let their imaginations run riot at workshops run by Tatton Park Biennial artist Simon Woolham.
A class of Year 5 pupils took inspiration for their creations from Woolham’s B Movie posters: Attack of the Killer Plants! and The Creeping Killer Smell!
The posters, part of an art project called The Invasion, were inspired by the gigantic Gunnera in the gardens often referred to by visitors as The Triffids and the Stink Cabbage in the Arboretum.
The artistic themes of his work: invasion, monsters, dreams and fantasies, held particular fascination for the youngsters.
The arts biennial at Tatton Park is on until the end of September and features six semi-permanent works, 13 evolving commissions, and a substantial programme of tours, performances and talks.
Events this weekend include video screenings and tours.
