A PROGRAMME of events is being launched across the North West to allow sports fans in Mid Cheshire the chance to get into the Olympic spirit, before the London 2012 Games.
The Olympic Open Weekend taking place between July 24-26 will involve of events, from family sport days to circus skills and exploring hidden archives, being held across the region.
More than 45 events are taking place enabling the public to share in the run-up to the Games.
A grand tour of Chester Rowing Club (Hannah Crowdy on 01244 402014); Knutsford family fun day at St Johns Wood Community Centre; Tug of war funday in Crewe and Sports Celebration Day in Runcorn are just some events on offer.
