THE most improved students on a public services course have been rewarded by the Army Careers Office in Wrexham.

Yale College student Stephanie Todd won the First Diploma course, accolade and Chris Jones scooped the National Diploma prize.

The Army, one of the sponsors of the courses, visited Yale College to present the prizes.

The students complete assignments as well as taking part in Army team building exercises, challenges, visits, and work experience.

They also attend Dragon’s March – an interactive Army careers exhibition event.

Major Rick Kalewski, Army careers adviser for North and Mid Wales schools and colleges, said: “The public services courses do have an excellent take up at Yale College because it’s something so different. They really prepare the students for a career in the public services and gives them an all-round experience that they will learn from and take with them for the rest of their lives.”
