A MAN was arrested following an armed stand-off in Runcorn in the early hours of yesterday morning.
Police were first called to an address in Windmill Hill at 1am, where they were threatened by the male occupant.
As a result, residents in neighbouring properties were evacuated.
Police negotiators were called in and the man gave himself up at 3.20am. He was last night being held in custody at Widnes police station.
