POLICE are urging shoppers to look out for missing medication left in a taxi in Ellesmere Port.

At 1.42pm yesterday (Monday, January 14) a local man reported the loss of medication after he left it in a backpack in a taxi travelling between Ellesmere Port town centre and Leven Walk

The medication includes Adizem, Ramipril, Atorvastatin, Lansoprazole, Kapake, Aspirin, Ventolin and Seretide.

It was left in a black backpack in the back of a taxi which travelled between Ellesmere Port town centre and Leven Walk.

Inspector Brian Green of Ellesmere Port Neighbourhood Policing Unit said: "The medication could potentially be harmful to anyone not prescribed them, particularly a child.

"For this reason, we ask for anyone who discovers the medication to hand it in to their local police station or doctor's surgery."

Anyone who finds the medication should contact Cheshire Police on 101 quoting incident number 368 of 14 January 2013.
