DETECTIVES investigating the whereabouts of Ermatati Rodgers are appealing for information on the anniversary of her disappearance.

The Indonesian woman, known locally as Tati, was last seen in the Gwersyllt area of Wrexham, at around 4.30pm on Friday, January 4, 2008.

Detective Inspector Mark Hughes said: “Despite a good response to the recent Crimewatch appeal, we are still keen to speak to anyone who may know of Ermatati's whereabouts.”

The 42- year-old was last seen wearing black trousers with a thick white stripe down the side, when she was captured on CCTV in the Somerfield store in Gwersyllt on January 4. All the items of clothing she was wearing at the time have been recovered, with the exception of the trousers.

“We would urge anyone who has seen or found trousers similar to these, possibly abandoned, to contact North Wales Police,” said Det Insp Hughes

Police are also renewing the appeal to trace people who have bought a specific suitcase, described as a large lilac “Starburst” trolley case, from the TJ Hughes store in Wrexham since January last year.

“We are still keen to speak to anyone who has purchased a suitcase of this specific design from the Chester Street store in Wrexham. We would also like to hear from anyone who has seen such a suitcase since January 2008,” he added.

Police have conducted numerous searches in and around the Wrexham area and a £100,000 reward is being offered for information leading to the successful prosecution of those responsible for her disappearance.

Anyone who may have information relating to Ermatati's disappearance is asked to contact North Wales Police on 0845 6071001 (Welsh line), 0845 6071002 (English line) or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
