THE newly-formed Acton Community Angling Club is being launched following consultation with anglers and park users.
The club will help in the development and management of angling at Acton Park.
Anyone wishing to fish at Acton will be required to become a member of the club or buy a day ticket.
Membership costs have been kept at a reasonable level to help encourage angling and the club will be developing coaching sessions for junior members.
It will also be working with Wrexham County Borough Council to help improve facilities for angling and the general appearance of the lake.
Membership forms and day tickets are available from AM PM, Holt Road; Martin’s Newsagents, Rhosnesni Lane; Londis Stores, Little Acton; Morrisons Fishing Tackle and Deggy’s Fishing Tackle.
Guitar workshop
AN OPEN guitar workshop with Stevie Ricard, a well known instrumentalist on the North Wales music scene, will be held at Theatr Colwyn, Abergele Road, Colwyn Bay, on Monday between 5-7pm.
The workshop is for all budding guitar players, regardless of age, but there is limited availability so places must be booked in advance.
