A STAR performance by pupils of The Grange School was celebrated on Thursday when a record- breaking 78% of all grades awarded were A or A*.
Almost 43% of students achieved nothing lower than an A grade, and 10 students were awarded straight A* grades in all nine subjects taken.
Headmaster Christopher Jeffrey said: “We have become familiar with excellent GCSE results in recent years, and this year maintains that level of performance. To have well over three-quarters of grades awarded at A or above speaks volumes for our young people and for their teachers, who work so brilliantly together to achieve results to be proud of.”
Two students, Alex Blayney from Hartford and Gareth Wilkes from Cuddington, were among the top 10 individual students nationally in the EdExcel board’s IGCSE Chemistry, which Grange pupils entered for the first time this year.
