Hednesford Town 2 Witton Albion 2
WITTON’S lead at the top of the UniBond League was cut to 10 points - Fleetwood have four games in hand - when they were held on Saturday.
Hednesford presented a robust physical challenge throughout and, while Witton were not at their best, they still played the more attractive game.
Adam Morning, signed from Northwich Vics, made his debut in places of the injured Steve Brodie. Dave MacPherson, signed from Hednesford, was another casualty.
Dyer put the home side ahead in 44 minutes but Adam Warlow levelled before the break.
Rod Thornley netted a cheeky toe ender in 63 minutes and Warlow missed a good chance to put Albion 3-1 up.
An own goal by Liam Brownhill two minutes from time squared the match, but later still Mark Peers missed an opportunity to steal the points.
