A PENSIONER who was found murdered in the kitchen of her bungalow let her killer into her home.

Detectives investigating the murder of Agnes Hanrahan in Widnes say there is no evidence of forced entry into her home.

They are investigating the possibility that the 71-year-old was murdered either by someone she knew or by a bogus official.

Cheshire police are liaising with Merseyside police over similarities to the murder of pensioner Ruth Owens, 76, in Birkenhead last week.
