A QUESTION and answer session with a panel of experts is one of the events planned for carers in Wrexham as part of National Carers Week.
Carers Week, which runs from June 8-14, aims to highlight and celebrate the incredible contribution carers make, sharing the positive experiences as well as the more difficult.
It is estimated six million people across the UK provide unpaid care to someone they know.
Highlights from the week will include a session where carers and members of the public will be able to put their questions forward to a panel of experts at Capel y Groes on Friday, June 12, from 11am-1pm.
Questions can be submitted beforehand by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org or calling 01978 318812.
Other highlights include several carers drop-in meetings throughout the week; the first at Wrexham Library on Monday, June 8, from 10am-noon.
Other activities including a family picnic at Ty Mawr County Park on Saturday, June 13.
Andrew Figiel, chief social care officer for Wrexham County Borough Council, said: “Carers are often the unsung heroes with their fantastic work going unnoticed. They are truly indispensable.”
