A GOAL from a disputed free-kick a minute from the end enabled Welshpool to plunder the points at the expense of hard up Llangefni – and that left the home camp furious.

While Calvin Davies earned the plaudits as the visitors’ last gasp winner, the alleged hand-ball offender John Boardman and his team boss were gutted.

Director of Football Gus Williams said: “John came to me immediately after the match and insisted the ball had not touched his hand but had struck him on the chest.

“I said I knew that, because I was just 10 yards away and saw it myself – and what happened was an absolutely travesty of justice.

“It as a poor decision by the referee and the outcome was that a game, which should have ended as a draw.”

“It is a fact, though, that when you are down there at the basement, decisions go against you. While this can hit confidence, it won’t in our case, because the lads are fighting.”
