YALE College student Edward Clarke is proving you’re never too old to learn.
The 93-year-old has been successfully studying Spanish at Yale College, gaining a nomination for an Inspire Adult Learner Award.
The award is part of the college’s Adult Learners Week celebrations.
Edward, who enjoys salsa and bridge and can speak German, turned to education after a prolonged period caring for his late wife. He started learning Spanish at the aged of 89.
He said: “I wanted to fill a gap in my life.”
Gail Capper, Spanish lecturer, said: “Edward is a wonderful example of what can be achieved through learning.”
