The King’s School ‘took a stand’ as pupils involved themselves in Cancer Reasearch UK’s Stand Up To Cancer campaign, to raise awareness and funds.

The campaign has funded more than 140 clinical trials to provide essential research to help patients through medical breakthroughs.

Wrist bands and badges were sold at break and lunchtime and pupils were invited to take part by signing their name on the signing wall in the School Gallery.

Pupils who showed their support through fantastic musical performances were Anna Chadwick of Chester, Reya Patil of Northop, Emily Tilli of Ellesmere Port, Isobel Bosworth of Ellesmere Port and Joseph McKeown of Elton.

Joseph did a sponsored stand for the whole day and spoke in assembly where the Sixth Form showed their support by joining Joe in standing at the end of assembly.

Overall, it was fantastic effort by all those involved and the day proved to be a huge success as £317 was raised for the charity.
