The search is on in Frodsham and Helsby for the next wannabe superstar as the Zodiac Amateur Operatic Society host Frodsham’s Got Talent later this month.

The Zodiac is asking local people to showcase their talent at their first talent competition on Saturday, June 28, at Frodsham Community Centre.

Organiser Valarie Ball said: “We are inviting people of all ages to come along and show the local community just what great talent the area has, we are welcoming any kind of talent, from magicians to comedians, singers and dancers, if you have a little bit of star quality we'd like to see it!

“Who knows we may even find the next Gary Barlow!”

As well as receiving a cash prize and goodies, the overall winner will be invited to perform on stage at Festival In The Park on July 6 in Castle Park.

Application forms for Frodsham's Got Talent, which is sponsored by the Rotary Club of Frodsham and Helsby, can be obtained by calling Valarie on 07891 827555 or by visiting the website www.zaos.org.uk.

Tickets cost £5 (free for children aged under six). There will be a fully licensed bar, refreshments and a cake and sweets stall.
