A long standing recruitment business in Ellesmere Port is backing the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning.

Stanley Staff has been the longest standing recruitment agency in the town for many years moving to Cambridge Road from Chester in the 1970s where it was launched in 1965.

Sadly managing director Heather Pugh passed away in May following a long battle with cancer.

Her son Kevin has taken over as the new director and with a wish to keep the business very much alive it has recently re-located to 5 Whitby Road.

Last September, the business held a ‘very successful’ coffee morning, for Macmillan collecting over £500.

The ‘very worthy cause’ was held very close by all staff knowing the very private battle Heather was going through.

This year, the business is to hold another coffee morning on September 30 between 10am and noon in memory of Heather.

Mayor Peter Rooney has been invited with MP Justin Madders and Jochem Hollestelle the Ellesmere Port Town Centre improvement manager.

Heather said at the time: “It was a fabulous turn out on the day, everyone came together to support this event and I am very proud of all of my staff for making it such a wonderful morning and raising such a great sum of money.”

The agency, celebrating 50 years in business, said the coffee morning had been well supported by local firms with a host of raffle prizes on offer in aide of Macmillan.
