The president of Chester Inner Wheel has handed over the reins to a new incumbent.
Outgoing president Nadine Morris handed the chain of office to Carol Vickat the Mercure Abbot’s Well Hotel.
Carol’s charity for the year will be BIRD, Brain Injury Rehabilitation Development, based in Eccleston, which helps people who have suffered a brain injury to rebuild their lives, and also supports their carers.
Carol outlined her programme for the year, including a variety of speakers and a major fundraiser in November with the Chester Bach Singers at Eaton Park.
The club meets at the Abbot’s Well on the second Monday of each month, and, while originally for wives of Rotarians, it now welcomes any women who share their aims of service and international friendship, while still supporting the Rotary Club.
