Chester-based company Elegant Address South of France was presented with the Queen’s Award for Enterprise by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Cheshire, David Briggs MBE.
The crystal bowl was presented to Elegant Address Luxury Property Group’s managing director, Suzan Thompson, by the Lord Lieutenant in front of VIPs, Elegant Address Luxury Property Group employees and relatives, followed by a presentation of the company and champagne reception with canapes at the Abode Hotel in Chester.
UKTI representative, Julie Greensword, who attended the event, said: “I am proud to have worked closely with Suzan Thompson of Elegant Address Luxury Property Group since 2010.
“Suzan has conducted detailed research, carefully selected her target markets, and approached them in a systematic way. She has invested in the internationalisation of her website which is now extremely impressive and technically effective.
“These improvements in export marketing communications have directly led to increased sales around the world.
“I am delighted that Elegant Address Luxury Property Group has won the Queen’s Award for Enterprise for International Trade, an accolade which is very well deserved.”
On April 21, the Queen’s birthday, Elegant Address South of France was announced as winner of The Queen’s Award in recognition of its outstanding international exporting success, having consistently achieved considerable, year-on-year growth in overseas markets.
Elegant Address South France was established in 2004 by Suzan Thompson the founder, who initially worked meticulously from home.
The firm is now the UK’s largest, independent property consultancy for the South of France, with more than 1,100 properties in their luxury portfolios. The company is now based in Chester city centre offices, has a strong team of nine staff and has had 80% growth in International markets in the past three years.
Suzan Thompson, managing director of Elegant Address Luxury property Group, said: “It is an absolute honour to receive such recognition for all the hard work and expansion success we have accomplished over the past few years.

Suzan Thompson and her daughter Tally Thompson also attended a royal reception at Buckingham Palace in July, where they had the honour of meeting her Majesty the Queen.
