UPTON residents are being given the chance to find out more about the 'super zoo' being developed on their doorstep.

Professor Gordon McGregor Reid, managing director of Chester Zoo, will be outlining his plans at the annual assembly of Upton Parish Council.

The plans could involve £100m worth of investment and see the site treble in size.

The meeting is open to all local people and will be held in the lecture theatre at the zoo on Monday, April 3, at 7pm.

There will also be an opportunity to raise issues with parish councillors and feedback on what the council has achieved in the last year. nThe lecture theatre is not in the public area of the zoo and access is available from the first road off the second roundabout off the A41, before the turn off for the city Park & Ride.
